Responsibilities include planting, cultivating, and harvesting citrus groves, as well as cleaning up by removing sprouts, debris, weeds, and vines. Workers will also repair irrigation systems, maintain operational structures and equipment, and fix fences. Other duties include mowing and weeding groves, as well as performing ditching, shoveling, hoeing, hauling, and other manual labor. Workers will utilize hand tools like hoes, shovels, shears, clippers, loppers, and saws, along with power equipment such as forklifts, tractors, planters, mowers, plows, sprayers, cultivators, power shears, chainsaws, and skid loaders. Drive and control specialized equipment such as tractors, trucks, pruning machines, and skid steers to perform hedging, topping, and skirting of citrus trees. Manipulate controls to activate, adjust, and optimize cutting mechanisms for precise tree canopy management. Safe operation of agricultural equipment is required, with or without supervision. The employer can and will make alternative arrangements for the transportation of workers should the need arise. Sanitation Requirements: For food and general personal safety purposes, all workers will be required and expected to follow common sanitary and GAP practices at all times.
