The ranch calves between 450-500 head each year so cows must be sorted that are close to calving and assistance given with pre-calving vaccinations. Monitor the newborn calves for sickness after turned out of barns. Mix rations and run the feed wagon in the feedlot. Assist with performance information of bulls (weights, scrotal measurements, carcass ultrasound, etc.) Get bulls ready for the bull sale the 2nd Saturday of February. This includes cleaning bulls so they can be videotaped prior to the sale in January. Drive cattle to the veterinarian. No CDL Required and no commercial truck driving required.
